Excellent value for the price

This is definitely *not* a wimpy drill - I've had a number of cordless drills over the years and for the price I don't think you can touch this one. Seriously powerful, holds a charge for a very long time (didn't use mine for 1 year, picked it up and it still seem to have a full charge). I would be very impressed if I had paid 75$'s for this one!
Awesome Drill

This drill has tremendeous torque. I used my first drill to bore 1/2 inch bolt holes through marine grade piling timbers. I was so impressed that I bought a second one and, I was afraid the price would go up because it is such a great tool. The price has not gone up in over six months so I might by myself another one for Christmas.

An awesome drill at a tremendeous price.
Can't beat it for the money.

This is a very powerful drill. It's not a Hilti or a Bosch by a long, long, long shot, for sure...but look at the price! I don;t know how long it will last, but it sure is powerful. Even if it only lasts a few years, you can't go wrong.
aww shucks.

Reviewer: BarberBart,
Value to price...its a nice deal but as with a lot of off brand things. I think there might be a question of dependability in its reliability. I feel I got a nice deal for my $50 I got a drill that I worked over pretty good for a year... but now.. as with another review my charger or battery is giving out. the light does not light on the charger and the charge is not holding.

THE drill...GOOD FEATURES I like the clutch settings, bubble levels, slave handle and power. I like the high and low gear setting except my drill does not like to stay in 2nd gear but I think thats because it kept getting knocked out of gear while under power. The gear switch is along the top and if your drill is sliging along somethig while you drill the switch can get pulled. so a more obsure or recessed switc would be nice.(I did file my swith down to help with the problem.) Although for most projects weight is not a big factor for me.. when I build its often fix-it/Build-it all over the place so the weight and size do not lend themselves to small delicate jobs nor to working for hours over head, or even carrying it arond on a drill holster. So I would never say don't buy this drill but I would say... know its limitations, mainly size in tight places and the fact that it Might last a year or you may get a good one and it could last 5 years. I will probably go with a bit more money and a lighter drill to fit my style of work.

Its probably worth what you pay but its not for every job.
Battery life and charger are worthless. Good luck with Customer Service

I purchased this drill roughly one year ago. I agree with the other reviews about value for the price. However, I have a serious issue with the company's (Allied Consumer by the way not Black Max) level of customer service. I've called the 800 number repeatedly with the same result. A recording tells me their office hours followed by a recording saying that I've either called outside of normal office hours or they've stepped away. Further, if you leave a message I bet you won't get a call back. The problem with the product I have is the battery. When I place the battery in the charger the green/red indicator lights go out completely and the battery never charges, which to me indicates either a problem with the battery or a problem with the charger - neither of which can be purchased anywhere I know of. On the other hand my little 12V Black and Decker drill is still going strong and the battery only takes an hour to charge. I don't think I'll be purchasing anymore off brand items like this any time soon. Stick with what you recognize! Dewalt, B&D, Etc.
